Centre
1- General Information:
H.U. Institute of Population Studies Documentation Centre was founded in 1967.
In this centre, all Turkish publications and major foreign publications on population and related areas are gathered and catalogued with a classification system developed especially for the centre. In March 1999 the documentation centre catalogs have been transferred to electronic environment.
There are 6980 books and documents catalogued in the documentation centre. 31 of the documents have microfilms. All M.A. and Ph.D. thesis’ prepated in the Institute of Population Studies are catalogued. All census’ and demographic yearbooks by the State Institute of Statistics can be found in the centre.

The Documentation Centre has a POPLINE service, a bibliographic demographic database consisting of 300.000 records.
2- WHO (World Health Organization ) Documentation Centre:
Hacettepe University Institute of Population Sciences Documentation Centre has been serving as WHO Documentation Centre according to the protocole between the Institute of Population Sciences and WHO since August 1996. 426 documents sent from the WHO Europe Regional Office are available in the centre.

WHOLIS: It is an online WHO database. WHOLIS lists all WHO publications from 1948 to present and includes all papers and technical documents produced by WHO from 1985 to present. Additionally, the card catalog used in this site allows users to reach technical documents prepared before 1986. www.who.int/library/database.
WHODOC: It is a bibliographic database that is updated four times a year that includes recent resources added to WHOLIS. In this page, you can bibliographic references, technical documents, political documents, papers in periodicals, documents published by WHO and IARC and CIOMS resources. Additionally, WHO programmes published outside WHO can be found at the WHODOC web page.
HINARI: Health InterNetwork Access to Research Iniative is an internet service that provides most recent vital health content and public health information. The service includes more than 2000 scientifiz publication thus having one of the widest biomedical literature in the world.
