Turkey National Maternal Mortality Study, carried out by an international consortium involving the Hacettepe University Institute of Population Studies within the "Turkey Reproductive Health Programme", was completed. The national meeting of the study was held in Ankara on 8^th December 2006 with the participation of province project teams, province administrators, health staff, and representatives from non-governmental organizations and international organizations.
