The Turkish Journal of Population Studies was founded in 1979 to meet the deficit in the field of population science due to its young structure and scarce studies in our country and to encourage and present the generation of knowledge within various subjects of demography among the circles interested in this area of science. The journal is issued once a year.
Scientific studies within the field of demography are subject to evaluation to be published in the Turkish Journal of Population Studies. Papers should be original, written in English or Turkish and not having been published anywhere before. The studies satisfying these qualifications are reviewed by the Editorial Board of the Journal and assessed by at least two independent referees followed by publishing. Ten (10) offprints of the paper and three (3) copies of the Journal are supplied to the authors of the paper. 

The Turkish Journal of Population Studies is browsed through the most important source of references in the literature of world population, Population Index, world's largest bibliographic population database, POPLINE (POPulation information onLINE), and TUBITAK Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM).
